Changelog

  1. SetStage 1.0

The first release of SetStage for Mac, with SetStage Remote for iPad and iPhone.

    Added

    • A 16-colour song palette, so each song in the setlist can carry its own colour.
    • Song notes you can edit on the Mac and in SetStage Remote.
    • A countdown to the next section above the timeline.
    • Pair a phone or iPad with SetStage Remote by scanning a QR code.
    • A first-run setup checklist that follows the real state of the app.
    • Demo mode: three songs, with playback that stops at random until a licence is added.
    • Licence files can be imported in Settings, with the licence details shown in About.

    Improved

    • A selected coloured song row is more vibrant and has a matching outline.
    • The notes panel can be shown or hidden, on the Mac and in SetStage Remote, and the choice is remembered.
    • New devices can only pair while a pairing window is open on the Mac.
    • The Remote connection is encrypted with a separate key for each direction.
    • SetStage shows which Remote Script version is installed, flags an outdated one and can open it in Finder.
    • When Ableton is not connected, SetStage waits for it with a clear reconnect card instead of a stale screen.

    Fixed

    • Every repeated section name is kept as its own marker.
    • Locators that are not part of a song are ignored inside a song block.
    • Songs that use plain locators keep working.
    • SetStage Remote no longer shows a section as queued after you stop playback.
    • Autosave failures are now shown in Settings instead of being silently ignored.
  2. SetStage 0.9

The first SetStage Remote, with a steadier setlist on the Mac.

    Added

    • SetStage Remote for iPad: transport buttons with labels, live playback state and editing from the device.
    • A now playing card on the setlist.
    • A copy button for the Remote pairing code.
    • A loading state while a set opens.

    Improved

    • Remote controls respond the moment you tap them.
    • Remote pairing is kept when the Mac reconnects.
    • The selected song stays in view in the setlist, and the playing song shows a green icon.
    • Going backward on the transport cues the previous song.

    Fixed

    • The Remote layout now follows iPad rotation.
    • Scrubbing in Ableton and silence at the end of a song now time correctly.
    • Setlist drag handles no longer block clicks.
    • The selected song’s centre button is visible again.
