Name your markers
The locator names SetStage reads to build your setlist.
SetStage builds your setlist from the locators in Live’s Arrangement.
| Locator | Meaning |
|---|---|
SONG: Name | Starts a song. The prefix is written in capitals. |
SECTION: Name or SECTION Name | Adds a section to the current song. A locator that is just SECTION becomes a section named “SECTION”. |
SONG END | Marks where the song stops. |
STOP | A point inside a song where playback stops. |
SONG END and STOP can be written in any case. A section before the first song is ignored.
How long a song is
- A song runs from its start to its
SONG END, when it has one. - Without one, it runs until the next song starts.
- The last song, with no
SONG END, runs 30 seconds past its last section, or two minutes if it has no sections.
Songs without a prefix
If no locator in the set uses SONG:, SetStage treats a plain locator as a song, as long as each one is closed by a SONG END. A plain locator inside a song, before its SONG END, is ignored.
Let the Builder do it
The Builder can create a correctly marked Live set from your audio stems, so you do not have to place the locators by hand. See Create a Live set with the Builder.
