Saving your work
Autosave, project files and backups.
Autosave
SetStage saves a few seconds after you stop making changes, and reopens the project you were using the next time it starts. Until you save a project of your own, it autosaves to a file in Application Support/SetStage.
Your own project file
- Save As… keeps a copy as a
.setstagefile you choose. Command-S then saves to it. - Open Project… opens a
.setstagefile. - Each save keeps the previous version next to the file, with
.bakadded. - A project saved by a newer version of SetStage will not open until you update.
What a project holds
Your setlists and their order, the active setlist, song colours and notes, each song’s “When this song ends” choice, and the project’s MIDI and playback overrides. The songs themselves still come from Live, which SetStage reads again when it connects.
